Praxis-Ökonomie Kongress Sylt: What dental practices really need in everyday administration

Every year, the Praxis-Ökonomie Kongress on Sylt, organized by the Free Association of German Dentists (FVDZ), brings together precisely those topics that are currently shaping everyday practice life.

This year, the focus was once again on three main developments: a shortage of specialists, rising patient demand and increasing pressure to digitize.

Sadjad Rassuli and Markus Roessler were on site and in direct contact with dentists and practice owners.

8-1

During the discussions, it became clear again and again what is important in the administrative day-to-day running of a dental practice:

  • automated appointment bookings, rebookings and cancellations
  • structured recording of incoming calls
  • Clear documentation of all patient concerns
  • Relief for the teams while maintaining a high workload

It was not about abstract digitalization, but about very specific requirements from everyday practice life.

One key topic was patient communication. Many practices are reaching their limits here: Calls come in at the same time, concerns cannot be dealt with directly or get lost in the daily routine. At the same time, the demand for availability and fast response times is growing.

The result is increasing pressure on the teams, especially at reception.

Another important point in the discussions was integration into existing systems. Dental practices already work with established solutions such as Dampsoft, Samedi and other practice and appointment management systems. The decisive factor is therefore not just the automation of individual processes, but their seamless integration into existing workflows.

This is exactly where MIA, our Agentic AI platform, comes in:

MIA processes incoming requests in real time, takes over recurring tasks and integrates into existing systems. The aim is to support administrative processes where most time and resources are tied up in everyday life.

Conversations become actions, without additional effort for the practice team.

We look forward to further expanding our existing customer base in the dental practice sector!
